C. Nichole Salles-Cunha
I currently teach a Special Day Class of 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders with a range of mild/moderate disabilities and abilities at Mar Vista Elementary School in Aptos, CA. I earned an Education Specialist credential from California State University Monterey Bay in 2013 and a B.A. in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Child Development from San Diego State University in 2003. During those ten years, I taught Preschool in LaJolla for five years, where I could bring my son with me and teach the super adorable ages of early childhood. After that, I started small businesses while I was home with my second, then third child. I also enjoyed positions as Assistant Director of Children’s Ministry at a church in Encinitas, CA, and few years later I moved to Director of Children’s Ministry at a church in Solana Beach, CA. With our relocation from San Diego to Santa Cruz, I began my journey in Special Education and now I am embarking on Education Leadership with emphasis in Technology in an Online Master’s program at San Diego State University, again! When I am not teaching and learning from my students, managing IEPs, or studying, I am attending soccer games, violin recitals, play performances, horseback riding lessons, swim meets, surf sessions and family adventures with my husband, son and two daughters.
